WINTERPORT- Patricia Ann Doble, 56, passed away unexpectedly May 13, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1950, in Boothbay Harbor, the daughter of Robert E. Pottle and Doris (Webber) Toothaker. Patricia moved from Boothbay to Winterport in her early teens, where she lived for most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Brewer High School. After high school, Patricia married the love of her life, Richard G. Doble. Patricia worked as a support specialist for OHI and sold Avon products for nearly 25 years. She could often be found spending countless hours volunteering for organizations she held closer to her heart, like the SHARE program, Smile America, an organization to help children with cleft pallets; and numerous other volunteer organizations. Patricia was a member and past president of the Winterport Women’s Club, a former member of the Winterport Baptist Church and was an ovarian cancer survivor. She enjoyed gardening, the coast of Maine, lobster and most importantly family, which was her top priority and was always put first. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Richard G. Doble; two loving children, Gregory Doble and fianc?e, Jessica Wain, of Bangor and Regina Niles and husband, Derrick, of Corinth; her mother, Doris (Webber) Tooth-aker; two sisters, Vicki Getchell and husband, Donald, of Greenbush and Kathy Whitney and husband, Jack, of Homasassa, Fla., as well as several nieces and nephews. Patricia will also be missed by her faithful granddog Jake, whom she greatly enjoyed. Patricia was predeceased by her father, Robert E. Pottle. Family and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wedneday, May 16, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be held after the service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport.
