ALLAGASH – Nelson Paradis, 64, died Jan. 13, 2008, surrounded by his family. He was born April 18, 1943, in Quimby, the son of Ovena and Sadie (Bouchard) Paradis. Nelson belonged to Moosetown Riders Snowmobile Club, where he was a member of the directors social activity chair. His favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting. Nelson will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Annie (Pelletier) (McBreairty) Paradis of Allagash; stepdaughter, Karen and her husband, Carl Babin, of Fort Kent; stepgranddaughter and godchild, Whitney Babin of Fort Kent; a godson, Jason Paradis of Fort Kent; one sister, Patricia and her husband, Adrien Belanger, of St. John; two bro-thers, Milton and his wife, Emma Paradis, of Eagle Lake and Richard and his wife, Diane Paradis, of Wallagrass; two brothers-in-law, Danny and his wife, Mable Pelletier, of Allagash and Henry and his wife, Tina Pelletier, of St. John; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by two infant sisters. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of departure for Allagash at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Allagash. Spring burial will be held at the parish cemetery.
