WYTOPITLOCK – Myrtle M. Preston, 84, wife of the late Donald Preston Sr., died Feb. 18, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born March 30, 1919, in Wytopitlock, the daughter of Herbert and Josephine (Weir) Austin. Myrtle loved flowers and working in her garden. She is survived by two sons, Richard Preston and his wife, Lydia, of Danforth and Donald Preston Jr. and his wife, Beatrice, of Wytopitlock; five grandchildren, Wade Preston, Colette Hanington, Kim Sixberry, Rodney Preston and Rhonda Preston; one sister, Harriett McKinney of Bangor; and five great-grandchildren, Seth Preston, Eric Preston, Nicholas Preston, Nathaniel Sixberry and Cindy Shane. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by one grandchild, Reginald Preston; seven brothers; and three sisters. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Waite officiating. Spring interment will be in the Wytopitlock Cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Myrtle’s memory to the charity of their choice.
