TRENTON – Minnie “Queenie” Agnes Scott Henderson, 57, died July 30, 2008, at Mount Desert Island Hospital. She was born June 22, 1951, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Harland S. and Agnes M. (Harper) Butler. Minnie loved to cook for her family, treasure hunting and family picnics. She also enjoyed writing poetry and taking care of her grandson, Finn. She is survived by her beloved fiance and companion, Sidney Emerson of Trenton; her mother, Agnes Butler of Seal Cove; her son, Danny Spofford of Presque Isle; her daughter, Katrina Spofford of Southwest Harbor; four brothers, Carroll Butler, David Butler, Andy Butler and wife, Doreen, and Peter Butler, all of Seal Cove; five sisters, Yvonne Black and Rose Sargent, both of Eastbrook, Mildred Butler and Gwendolyn Butler, both of Seal Cove and Molly Butler and husband, David Jones, of Stonington; grandchildren, Ezra, Finn, Sarina and Andrew. Minnie was predeceased by her father, Harland Butler; and a grandson, Ruben Spofford. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Center Cemetery, Seal Cove with the Rev.
