HANCOCK and ORLANDO, Fla. – Master Sgt. Paul W. Davis, retired, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at Winter Park Hospital, Orlando, Fla. He was born May 25, 1936, in Lamoine, the son of Hollis and Virginia (Spurling) Davis. Paul retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1966, due to health problems from a career he truly loved. He was much loved and cared for by his wife, Janet, until her death in 1989. He is survived by his son, Paul J. Davis and wife, Cindy, of Ellsworth; daughters, Victoria Lewis and husband, Clyde, of Sullivan, Laurie Booze and husband, Sheldon, of Hen-derson, Ky., Anne Gillen and husband, Paul, of St. John, New Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Cpl. Sandey Parker and wife, Amy, Nathan, Brett and Brennan Parker, Alexandra and Jessi Booze, Christopher Davis, Stephanie Tilden and husband, Leon; great-grand-daughter, Kaylee Tilden; sister, Anne Roache and husband, Robert, of Erie, Pa.; a special brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Donna Scott; brothers-in-law, Douglas, Micheal and Lawrence Scott; sisters-in-law, Pamela Burr, Sylvia Ryder, Marcia Haslam, Donna Wright and Rosemary Harding, many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 3-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. Interment will be at Blaisdell Cemetery, Sullivan.
