MILLINOCKET – Mary Hattie McDonald, 81, wife of the late Ernest C. McDonald, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007, at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born June 6, 1925, in Millinocket, the daughter of Herbert J. and Mabel K. (Nadeau) Young. Hattie is survived by three daughters, Barbara Berthiaume and her husband, Robert, of Fiskdale, Mass., Shirley Whitehouse and her husband, Dennis, of Millinocket and Judy Lyons and her husband, Jerry, of Grindstone; two grandchildren, Buffy Bingham and her husband, Brad, of New Boston, N.H., and Chad Berthiaume and his wife, Kathy, of Southbridge, Mass., and their three children; several stepgrand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Kay Bouchard of Millinocket, Herbert “Sonny” Young of Medway, Nadine Bazzie of North Carolina, Bob Young of Millinocket, Isabelle Daniels of Bangor and Frances Fraser of East Millinocket; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Hattie will also be missed by a special niece, Bonnie Soucier. In addition to her husband, Hattie was predeceased by her parents. Friends are invited to visit with the family 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Bouchard – Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Liturgy of the Word funeral service will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket. Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
