DOVER-FOXCROFT – Mary A. Campbell, 76, died Aug. 30, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 22, 1929, in Abbot, the youngest child of Ione (Bennett) and Gayland A. Moore Sr. She was named for her great-grandmother, Green-ville artist, Mary Alice (Cummings) Bennett Lord. She was the valedictorian of the Class of 1947 at Guilford High School, and worked in the office at Mayo Memorial and Regional Hospital for 36 years. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her daughter and mother, especially in Alaska and Canada, and had a soft place in her heart for animals and birds. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Roberta J. Campbell in 2000, and by her oldest brother, Gayland “Dinty” Moore Jr. in 2002. She is survived by her brothers, Roderick M. Moore of Farmington, Carroll W. and Joyce C. Moore of Abbot; her sister-in-law, Joyce S. Moore of Guilford; her aunts, Flora Moore of Guilford, Norma Herring of Abbot; several nieces and nephews, Roxanne Moore Saucier and Gaelen of Bangor, Maureen Moore Taylor and Scott of Parkman, P. Michael Moore and Kim of Parkman; also, John, Jeff, Sharon, Kathy, Mike and Bob; and several cousins. A memorial graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at the Bennett lot in Elmwood Cemetery, Guilford, with Pastor Marilyn Sargent officiating.
