BANGOR – Marvin R. Doughty, 71, died Jan. 7, 2008, at a Howland health care center. He was born March 2, 1936, in Bangor, the son of Roscoe F. and Maude (Ramsdell) Doughty. Marvin was employed as a mason tender for many years. Surviving are two brothers, Percy Doughty and his wife, Nancy, of Hermon, and Gary Doughty of Brewer; three sisters, Carmen Clark and her husband, Norman Clark Sr., of Glenburn, Donna Honey and her husband, Denny, of Bangor, and Shirley Harrison of Hermon; two sons, Marvin and Larry Doughty; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ervin Doughty. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson officiating. Spring interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
