DOVER-FOXCROFT – Marion Parker Macy Nevells, 92, died April 8, 2004, at a local nursing home. She was born July 2, 1911, in Hudson, the daughter of Joshua and Nina (Moody) Parker. Marion was a member of the United Baptist Church in Ellsworth, which she attended for 50 years, and attended the United Baptist Church of Dover-Foxcroft for a number of years. Marion is survived by her sister, Madeline Parker of Ellsworth; a son, Harold S. Macy Jr. and his wife, Jewell, of Otis; two daughters, Emilie Macy Wilbur and her husband, Lloyd, of Okeechobee, Fla., Jane Macy Saunders and her husband, Carroll “Tony” of Dover-Foxcroft; nine grandchildren, Michael Macy and his wife, Beverly, of Otis, Jeffrey Macy of Eastbrook, Allen Wilbur and his wife, Candace, Glenda Leavitt, Daniel Wilbur and his wife, Kim, all of Franklin, Toni Mailloux and her husband, Randy, of Belfast, Stephen Saunders and his wife, Elaine, of Sebec, Kevin Saunders and his wife, Laurie, of Guilford, Conn., Susan Sturtevant and her husband, Tom, of South China; many great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, F. Laureston Parker, Norman Parker, William Parker and Cecil Parker; her sisters, Frances Parker Gilmore and Hilda Parker Bassett. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Harold S. Macy; and her second husband, Philip Nevells. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Hilltop Manor, who were so kind and loving to Marion during her time there. Graveside committal services for the family will be conducted later in Blue Hill.
