ELVERSON, Pa. – Marilyn E. King, 80, of 4 Pius X, died at her home Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005. Mrs. King was born in Liberty, and was the daughter of the late Eli D. Champagne and Marion Bachelder Leheney. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. King who died June 25, 1994. She was employed at Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown, Pa. for 19 years having retired in 1986. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Honey Brook, Pa. and the Water Lillies swim club at St. Mary’s of Providence Center. She was a active volunteer at both St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Mary’s of Providence Center. She is survived by four sons; Joseph E. King, husband of Regina D. Labbio King of Downingtown, Pa., John P. King, husband of Donna Hails King of Honey Brook, Pa., and Jeff King, husband of Mary King of Baltimore, Md.; and Jerry King of Bridgeport, Pa.; four daughters, Linda Hopkins of Fleetwood, Pa., Carol Sorber, wife of Gary Sorber of Cedar Hill, Texas, Colleen King of Reading, Pa., and Marion Hails, wife of Jack Hails of Fleetwood, Pa.; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Joseph David Champagne of Boston, Mass., and Phillip Champagne of El Centro, Calif. She was predeceased by a brother, William Leheney. Family and friends are invited to the Labs Funeral Home, Honey Brook, 9-10 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005 in the Chapel at St. Mary’s of Providence Center, Elverson, Pa. Interment in St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Downingtown, Pa. Friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa.
