BANGOR and WAREHAM, Mass. – Lisa (Muz) Berg, 93, passed away April 17, 2004, in Wareham, Mass. Beloved wife of the late Kalman Berg, devoted and loving mother of Harry M. Berg, mother-in-law of Ruth A. Berg, grandmother of Jaron and Gayla Berg. Born in the Ukraine in 1911, Mrs. Berg survived many years of Nazi occupation by living in the woods and becoming a Partisan k Resistance Fighter. She immigrated to the United States, settling in Bangor, where, along with her husband and sister, Molly (Malka), she ran a small business. She raised her family and actively participated in the Jewish community of Bangor. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, April, 21, at the Jewish Chapel, 118 Center St., Bangor.
