BLUE HILL – Lena T. Robertson, 88, died Sept. 11, 2004, at the Penobscot Nursing Home. She was born May 15, 1916, in Brooklin, the daughter of Herbert and Stella (Farnham) Tapley. Lena was a personal secretary for Adelaide Pearson for more than 20 years; a secretary for George Stevens Academy and worked in the office of Tamworth Farm for many years. She was also a volunteer at the Tree of Life Thrift Shop, the Blue Hill Fair, and the Blue Hill Library. She is survived by one son, Dennis Robertson and his wife, Dolly, of Blue Hill; a sister, Frances Freethey of Brooklin; and two grandchildren, Cory Robertson and his wife, Elaine, of Blue Hill, Chris Robertson of Syracuse, N.Y.; a special niece, Louise Stover, several nieces and nephews. Lena was predeceased in death by her husband, Gerald Robertson. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept., 17, 2004, at Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 141 South St., Blue Hill, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 18. A reception will be held at the Blue Hill Fire Department in the “Gad” Robertson reception room following the service. Private interment will be held at Seaside Cemetery, Blue Hill.
