FORT KENT – Lawrence “Larry” Boucher, 82, beloved husband of Ester (Bouchard) Boucher, died May 15, 2006, at a Frenchville healthcare facility. He was born Oct. 13, 1923, in St. Agatha, the son of Patrick and Yvonne (Picard) Boucher. Larry worked for Maine Public Service Co. of Presque Isle for 42 years. He was district supervisor from 1962 until his retirement in December of 1986. He was a master electrician, member of the Rotary Club and was a Eucristic Minister at St. Louis Parish in Fort Kent. Larry was also a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council 0352 of Fort Kent. Larry was predeceased by his first wife, Juliette (Dube) Boucher. He is survived by his wife, Ester of Fort Kent; six children, Jim Boucher and his wife, Jean, of St. David, Bob Boucher and his wife, Sharon, of Bracketville, Texas, Phil Boucher and his companion, Laurie Allen, of Auburn, David Boucher and his wife, Marilyn, of Fulton, N.Y., John and his wife, Kristine, of Mesquite, Texas and Jean Tourangeau and her husband, Bob, of Scarborough; four stepchildren, Joyce Madore and her husband, Don, of Fort Kent, Carolee Deroche and her husband, Mike, of Benten, Allen Saucier and his wife, Margaret, of Biddeford and Dale Saucier and his wife, Jackie, of Caribou; his siblings, Rev. Gilman Boucher of Rivera Beach, Fla., Norman Boucher of Hingham, Mass., Melvin Boucher of Weymouth, Mass., Raymond Boucher of Groton, Conn., Sister Theresa Boucher of Quebec, Canada, Doris Gagnon of Salem, Mass. and Odette Nadeau of Fort Kent; 10 grandchildren, and eight stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchild-ren, eight great-stepgrand-children and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight siblings, Rev. Nelson Boucher, Laurette Labrie, Valier, Donald, Yvette, Raymond, Richard and Joseph Boucher. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent with the Rev. Gilman Boucher officiating. Committal services with full 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
