PRINCETON – Lawrence Joseph Lacoote Sr., 68, died Tuesday, June 1 2004, at a Calais hospital. Law-rence was born March 15, 1936, in Princeton, the son of the late Archie and Leona (Socoby) Lacoote. He served in the U.S. Army during 1955 and 1956. On June 1, 1964, he married Loretta Sopiel. Lawrence worked as a Senior Companion for many years. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maria Lacoote; and a brother, Arnold Lacoote. Surviving are his wife of 40 years Loretta Lacoote; three sons, Lawrence Lacoote Jr. of Summerville, W.Va., Dominic Lacoote of Bangor, and Dean Lacoote of Princeton; two daughters, Geneva Lacoote of Princeton, and Elizabeth Lacoote of Old Town; a brother, Basil Lacoote of Princeton; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Grace Lacoote; his number one grandson, Dusty Lacoote; 10 other grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Lawrence’s home after 1 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Peter Dana Point.
