FRENCHVILLE – Lawrence Gervais Sr., 76, died July 17, 2006. He was born Feb. 4, 1930, the son of Joseph F. and Mary Jane (Madore) Gervais. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus fourth degree and Cursillo, now living his fifth day. He retired as church caregiver for 34 years at the St. Luce Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Clara (Dumond) Gervais of Frenchville; two sons, Lawrence Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Madawaska and Gary and his wife, Brenda, of Fort Kent; a special grandson, Ricky and his companion, Karen, of Frenchville; four daughters, Noella Gervais of Frenchville, Linda Theriault and her husband, Joel, of Fort Kent, Patsy Voisine and her husband, Glenn, of Frenchville and Donna and her husband, Dave, of Fort Kent; 13 grandchildren, Jeffery, Cindy, Stacie, Lisa, Kendall, Lance, Brad, Krysta, Jamie, Holly, Scott, Vanesa and Ruben; five great-grandchildren, Lydia, Jaclyn, Austin, Meagan and Tyler; four brothers, Ronald of Madawaska, Patrick and his wife, Patricia, Paul and his wife, Ginette, all of Frenchville and Sylva of Fort Kent; nine sisters and their husbands, Sylvia and Alphe Roy of Fort Kent, Edwina and Joel Bellefleur of Madawaska, Aurella and Gilman Morin of Keegan, Gilmay and Butch Bouchard of St. Agatha, Cecile and Rosarie Parent of Eagle Lake, Juliette Sirois of St. Agatha, Berdina and Gary Blais of New Hampshire, Lucie Boucher of Sinclair and Marie May and Roger Levesque of St. Jacques. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Lillian Michaud. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Michaud Funeral Home, Frenchville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Luce Catholic Church with the Rev. Angelo Levasseur officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luce Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the St. Luce Catholic Church and any Alzehimers’ funds. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
