LAURA (JONES) MCBREAIRTY

ST. FRANCIS – Laura (Jones) McBreairty, 81, died Oct. 25, 2007. She was born April 18, 1926, in St. Francis, the daughter of George and Emma (McPherson) Jones. Laura worked as a gate attendant for Northern Maine woods for more than 27 years and also as a cook at the Allagash school for six years. She was a member of St. Francis Historical Society, Moose Town Riders Snowmobile Association of Allagash and the Snow Angels Snowmobile Club of St. Francis. She truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Rex McBreairty of Allagash; two sons, Rex Allen and his wife, Susan, of Allagash, and Wayne D. McBreairty and companion, Denise Gabriel, both of Biddeford; one daughter, Barbara E. McBreairty of Auburn; also a dear friend to the family, Elaine Terenzoni of Auburn; four sisters, Lola Jackson of Caribou, Georgia McIver of Littleton, Betty Henderson of Caribou and Letha Hanlin of Oakland, Md. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Tammy and her husband, Travis Delisle, of Wallagrass, and Evan McBreairty of Bidde-ford; and three great-grand-children, Caleb, Austin and Owen Delisle, all of Wallagrass. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, St. Francis. Graveside services will be held after at St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Owen Delisle Medical Fund, care of Acadia Federal Credit Union, attention Sheila Ouellette/Lisa Michaud, 9 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
