KIM C. WONG

BREWER and BANGOR – Kim C. Wong, 80, wife of the late Harry Wong, passed away Sept. 27, 2004, at her Brewer home. She was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Canton, China, the daughter of Kai Tong and Toys Chin. Kim and her husband were in the laundry business for more than 20 years and owned and operated Wong’s Laundry in Pickering Square and then Penobscot Plaza in Bangor, and later worked for various shoe factories in the Bangor area. She was an active member of the Overseas Women’s Club and the Philippines Club. She is survived by her son, John Wong of Brewer; her daughter, Morlene Wong and her husband, Ben Moore and a very special grandchild, Sarah Moore, all of Brewer; her sister, Fai Ching Yee of New York City; her brother, Roy Chin and his wife, Louise, of Greenville, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Henry H. Wong. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Thursday at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Mark Fowler of the Church of the Open Door, Hampden, officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
