BROWNVILLE JUNCTION Kenneth E. Purdue, 86, husband of Wanda (Miller) Purdue, died April 29, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born July 7, 1920, in McAdam, New Brunswick, the son of Joseph and Florence (Ellison) Purdue. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and had retired from the Canadian-Pacific Railroad after many years. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Brownville Junction; the Lords and Ladies Square Dance Club; and a 50-year member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge, McAdam, New Brunswick. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a son, Ronald Purdue; a daughter, Cathy Wallace and her husband, Thomas, all of Brownville Junction; a brother, Robert Purdue and his wife, Frances, of Fredericton, New Brunswick; a sister, Pauline Baltus of Ottawa, Ontario; two grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Amanda, and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Dakota, and Sierra; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Purdue. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, with the Rev. Nancy Moore officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Pinetree Cemetery, Brownville Junction.
