JULIENNE CARON

BREWER – Julienne Caron, 88, died Oct. 27, 2006, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born March 28, 1918, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Honore and Jane (Corriveau) Ouellette. Julie lived in the Orrington and Brewer area for many years and more recently was a resident of Stillwater Health-care Facility. She enjoyed knitting slippers, mittens, afghans and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her earlier years, she and her husband ran logging operations in northern Maine where she took care of the business and cooked for the crews. After many years, Julie moved to the Bangor area where she was employed as a stitcher for several area shoe factories including, Viner’s Shoe and Bangor Shoe. She then worked and retired from Canteen Service. She is survived by four children, Arnold Caron and his wife, Mildred, of Waldoboro, Beatrice (Laferriere) Sturtevant of Mechanic Falls, Allen Caron and his wife, Sharon, of Orrington and Rinette (Caron) MacDonald and her husband, David, of Brewer; seven grandchildren, David Desjardin of Florida, Jill (Caron) Boyle and her husband, Keith, of Windham, Julie (Laferriere) Bryant and her husband, Jeff, of Pennsylvania, Ronald Caron and his wife, Donna, of Glenburn, Daniel Caron and his wife, Cathy, of Hermon, LeeAnn (MacDonald) Getchell and her husband, Shawn, of Hermon and Mark MacDonald and his wife, Leslie, of Glenburn; 11 great-grandchildren, Kaycee, Sadie, Ashley, Harrison and Hayden Boyle, Michael Bryant, Zachary Caron, Shelby and Charlotte Caron, Emma Getchell, Hunter MacDonald, and another one on the way, Cooper MacDonald; one sister, Lea Theriault of Fort Kent; one brother, Roland Ouellette and his wife, Rinette, of California; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Frieda Desjardin and Jewell Pierce; one granddaughter, Donna Caron Harney; and five brothers, Adrien, Julien, Lucien, Alberien and Normand. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at a memorial reception 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
