MILLINGTON, Md. – Jonathan R. Orff, 19, died May 10, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash. Born Oct. 5, 1987, in Maine, he was the son of Missy Collins Orff and the late Randall R. Orff. He was a 2006 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School. Jonathan had worked for Wm. Simpler Construction, Millington, Md., but was recently hired by Brawner Construction, where he worked with his father. He was an active member of Crumpton Volunteer Fire Company. He also was a member of the F.F.A. His interests included hunting, fishing and camping. In addition to his mother, Jonathan is survived by a brother, Brandon Orff of Mill-ington, Md.; paternal grand-parents, Robert R. and Sheila Orff of Norridgewock; maternal grandmother, Joan Simpler and her husband, Sonny; and great-grand-mother, Mary Pear-son, all of Millington, Md.; and his girlfriend, Morgan Price. Jonathan was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Fred Collins; and great-grandfather, Luther Pearson. Services, with firemen’s honors, were held May 16 in Crumpton Fire Hall, Crumpton, Md. Interment was in Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Brandon Orff Educational Fund, care of Mercantile Eastern Shore Bank, 101 East Main St., Sudlersville, MD 21668.
