JOHN STACEY GATCOMB KENDUSKEAG – John Stacey Gatcomb, 81, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, went to be with Jesus May 7, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 28, 1922, in Hermon, the son of the late Clara and Maynard Gatcomb. John attended Hermon schools. He is survived by his wife, Madelia Gatcomb of Kenduskeag; one brother, Roland “Pete” Gatcomb of Carmel; one sister, Effie Mendall of Bangor; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Paul Gatcomb of Palmyra, and Dana and Linda Gatcomb of Newport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Andrew Grindle of Orland, Ann and Ric Nielsen of Lyman; son, James Milliken; daughter, Clara Gatcomb; and son-in-law, George Burns, both of East Corinth. He is also survived by several beautiful grandchildren, Sara, Dylan, Kandi, Dana Jr., Stacy, and Caitlin Gatcomb, Jason Alley, Nicholas Doody, Kali and Kody Grindle, Riki and Christian Nielsen, Nicole, Michael and Brittany Gatcomb; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family to help with funeral arrangements to Paul Gatcomb, 25 Wiers Road, Palmyra, ME 04965.
