CARIBOU – John A. Lancaster II, 51, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at his residence. He was born Nov. 27, 1956, in Caribou, the son of John A. “Jack” and Juanita “Wannie” (Davenport) Lancaster. John grew up in Caribou and graduated from Caribou High School as a member of the National Honor Society and Who’s Who in America’s High School Students. He was a graduate of Colby College, University of Southern Maine and New England Institute of Mortuary Science. John was a funeral director and co-owner of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou, for many years. He enjoyed playing chess and competed in many tournaments. John enjoyed a variety of music and playing bass guitar. He spent a lot of time working on and riding his motorcycles. In addition to his mother, Wannie, he is survived by two sons, Tyler John-Robert Lancaster and Casey Robert Lancaster, both of Caribou. John was predeceased by his father, Jack, in 2003. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
