HOULTON – Joan M. Ivey, 65, died Jan. 7, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born May 2, 1939, at Houlton, the daughter of Maynard E. and Ferne C. (Swimm) Patchell. Joan was a member of the Houlton United Methodist Church and local Women’s Club. She was employed by SAD No. 29 as the school cook for many years. She is survived by her husband, Ralph A. Ivey; three sons, Timothy Ivey, Kevin Ivey and Jonathan Ivey; three grandchildren, Stephanie L. Ivey, Sarah L. Ivey, and Austin “Little Buddy” Ivey; one sister, Bonnie Codrey; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister, Mary Pope. Friends may call 3-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, at the Houlton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Naomi Sam’Kpakra officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
