OXBOW PLANTATION – Jeannette C. Currier, 80, died Jan. 20, 2004, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born in Ashland, Sept. 6, 1923, the daughter of Fedime and Rena (Charette) Michaud. Jeannette worked for the U.S. Postal Service as postmaster in Oxbow for 22 years. She is survived by one daughter, Gail Bauzenberger and her husband, Edwin H. of Baker, W. Va.; two sons, Almon Currier and his wife, Audrey, of Oxbow, Norman Currier, Jr. and his wife, Janice, of Presque Isle; one brother, John Michaud of Fort Fairfield; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Currier Sr. in 1976. Relatives and friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Union Congregational Church, Sheridan Road, Ashland. A funeral service will be held at the church at 2 p.m. Friday with her daughter, the Rev. Gail Bauzenberger, officiating. Spring interment will be in the Willard Cemetery, Oxbow.
