BREWER and VAN BUREN Jeanne (Beaupre) Dubay, 86, beloved wife of the late Roy B. Dubay, passed away peacefully, Nov. 12, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1917, in Lille, the daughter of Ulric and Eugenie (Guerette) Beaupre. Jeanne was a longtime resident of Van Buren, where she was active in religious and civic activities. During the summers she and her family enjoyed living at Long Lake, and for 22 years, she and Roy enjoyed winters in Juno Beach, Fla. Since relocating to the Bangor area she greatly enjoyed living at the Ellen M. Leach Memorial Home in Brewer. She was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church. Jeanne’s great pride and her great legacy was that she was able to see her five children graduate from college. She is survived by two sons, LeRoy Dubay of Bangor, and Steve Dubay and his wife, Sallie, of Hampden; three daughters, Irene Nadeau of Houston, Texas, Bernardine Quartuccio and her husband, Charles, of Millinocket, and Jacqueline Hunsader and her husband, Thomas, of Amherst, N.H.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Beaupre and his wife, Simone, of Massachusetts, Ulysse Beaupre of Connecticut, and Robert Beaupre of Florida; two sisters, Irene Thibodeau of Connecticut, and Lillian Gaulin and her husband, Rudy, of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Gerry Beaupre and Lorraine Beaupre, both of Connecticut; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Roy, in April 2003; and by two brothers, Normand and Edwin Beaupre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 70 Western Ave., Hampden. In keeping with Jeanne’s love for living at the Leach Home, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ellen M. Leach Memorial Home, care of Brewer Housing, One Colonial Circle, Brewer, ME 04412. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
