HENRY S. DAVIS JACKSON – Henry Scott Davis, 89, died unexpectedly Oct. 11, 2003, at his home. He was born Feb. 12, 1914, in Jackson, the son of Samuel T. and Florence (Larrabee) Davis. Early in his life he worked as a farm hand and later assisted in drilling several water wells in Maine and Massachusetts. For more than 40 years, he raised various types of poultry, which he provided to several poultry companies in the area. His hobbies included gardening, beekeeping and making maple syrup. Henry had a love for being a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 60 years, and currently was a member of the Searsport Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Frankfort. Henry’s hope was with the fulfillment of The Lord’s Prayer, and living in a new world with peace and happiness, and have sickness and even death, a thing of the past. Henry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jennie A. (Kenyon) Davis of Jackson; his son, Samuel Davis and wife, Doreen, of Jackson; his daughter, Joanne (Davis) Hamm and husband, Arnold, of Prospect; five grandchildren, Heather Davis of Jackson, Amber Davis of Boston, Andy, Ashley, and Tim Hamm, all of Prospect; several nieces and nephews; many friends. Henry was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. A memorial will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at the Searsport Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Frankfort. Interment will be in Jackson Corner Cemetery, Jackson. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport.
