HAROLD W. KNEELAND

LINCOLN – Harold W. Kneeland, 93, husband of the late Faith (Atkinson) Kneeland, died Feb. 1, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Lincoln, the son of William and Bertha (Staples) Kneeland. Had was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart medal for injuries received in action. He enjoyed his family, his garden and was an all around outdoors person. He enjoyed hunting and especially his bird dogs. He is survived by a son, Stephen Kneeland and his wife, Penny, of Burlington; two grandchildren, Lana and her husband, Chris Gulesian and Jim and his wife, Andrea Kneeland, all of Lincoln; six great-grandchildren, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Faith; he was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Millie Kneeland; and two sisters, Natalie Lindsay and Helena Avery.
