SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. Harold W. Fickett, 81, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008, at Rivermont Care and Rehab. Center, South Pittsburg, Tenn. He was born in Waldoboro, to Seth and Gladys Card Fickett. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers and two stepsons. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Claudia Fickett of Jasper, Tenn.; daughters, Juanita Disbro of Chattanooga, Tenn., Peggy Easley of Waynesboro, Pa., and Linda Van-Arsdale of Fishersville, Va.; sons, Douglas Fickett of Cleveland, Tenn., Daniel Fickett of Friendship and Lincoln Fickett of Norridgewock; stepsons, William and Warren McAlister of Jasper, Tenn.; brother, Roy Fickett of Norridgewock; sisters, Phyllis Wilbur of Norridgewock and Luzetta Mashni of Berrian Springs, Mich.; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and beloved friends, Bob and Mildred Laird of Reistertown, Md. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at Dexter Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dexter. Condolences may be sent to 1745 Griffith Hwy., Jasper, TN 37347.
