LITTLETON – Gladys V. Brown, 83, died Feb. 16, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born May 14, 1923, in Houlton, the daughter of Robert and Ethel (Ross) Burton. Gladys was a member of the Lake Road Bible Baptist Church and a life member of TOPS. She enjoyed life to its fullest, especially when with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Calvin K. Brown of Little-ton; one son, Gary and his wife, Cynthia Brown, of Winthrop; two brothers, Robert Burton of Houlton and Edward Burton of Oakfield; three sisters, Evelyn Johnston and her husband, Clyde, of Oakfield, Betty Ivey and her husband, Floyd, of Houlton, Shirley Spell-man of Bryston City, N.C.; many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Jack Brown; seven brothers and sisters, Josie Melville Flewelling, Ester Shioes, Ruth Wheeler, Laurel Gardiner, Oscar Burton, Chester Burton and Doris Grass. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Tuttle officiating.
