FORREST ‘BABE’ W. ADAMS

BREWER – Forrest “Babe” Winslow Adams, 81, died Nov. 15, 2005, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 31, 1924, in Brewer, the son of Forest Everett and Margaret (Campbell) Adams, who predeceased him. Babe graduated from Brewer High School in the Class of 1942. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater as a Seabee. Babe worked with his father at F.E. Adams and Son, at Adams & Jordan Heating Oil Business, and retired from AT&T/NYNEX Telephone Company. He was a member of the Rising Virtue Lodge AF & AM No.10 in Bangor, the Scottish Rite Consistory and Anah Shriners. Babe was a lifetime member of the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church. Babe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara (Holyoke) Adams; two daughters, Bonnie Kittredge and husband, George Matoes, of Anchorage, Alaska, Judi Paisley and husband, John, of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Bonnie Paisley Scott and husband, Greg, Kegan Paisley and Kira Paisley and a large loving extended family of Holyokes and Adamses. A Service of Remembrance will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church, 31 Main Road, Eddington, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the church hall following the service. Interment will be at North Brewer Cemetery, Brewer.
