PLYMOUTH – Faith V. Johnson, 72, died Aug. 1, 2006, at her residence. She was born July 2, 1934, in New Haven, Conn., a daughter of Ernest and Blanche (Handy) Jacobs. She attended Hand High School in Madison, Conn. Faith and her husband, George, were married Dec. 30, 1958, and they moved to Maine in 1973. She was a past member of the Plymouth Grange, and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and loved playing Parcheesi on her homemade board. She also kept more than 100 photo albums. She is survived by her mother of Madison, Conn.; a son, George and his fiance, Lisa Shaw, of Plymouth; a daughter, Maggie and husband, Paul Tardiff, of Waterville; a stepson, David Johnson and his wife, Cassie, of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth and wife, Sharyl Jacobs, of Connecticut; six sisters, Alice and husband, Richard Peck, of Newport, Patricia and husband, Harold Miller, Judith and husband, Thomas Romano, Joyce and husband, Steve Metzger and Linda Ames, all of Connecticut and Kathleen Laffin of Warren; 12 grandchildren, Adam, Joshua, Nicholas, Brianna, Becky Jo, Libby, Alisabeth, David, Jonathan, Robert, Debbie, and Earl; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; her husband, George E. Johnson; three brothers, Ernest “Sonny,” Donald, and Ronald Jacobs; and two sisters, Hazel Piscatelli, and Barbara McClymont. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where friends may call noon until the time of services. Burial will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth.
