TROUTMAN, N.C. – Everett Winston Emery Jr., 53, of 602 Perry Rd., passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 24, 2006, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1953, to Lora Frances Dazey Emery of Kingman, and the late Everett W. Emery Sr. He was a graduate of Lee Academy in Lee and was self-employed as a saw miller. He was loved by all, always willing and wanting to help others. He was an outdoorsman who had a passion for nature. He was known as a hard working man. He is survived by his wife, Diane Byer Emery of the home; one son, Everett W. Emery III of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia June Emery of Charlotte, N.C. and Jessica Lynn Emery of Troutman, N.C.; three sisters, Jocelyn Emery, Susan and her husband, Hershel Hafford and Juanita E. and her husband, Jeff DeWitt, all of East Millinocket; and three brothers, Jerome and his wife, Julie Emery, of Kingman, Marvin and his wife, Marge Emery and Christopher and his wife, Laura Emery, of Statesville, N.C. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Kevin W. D. Emery and Kirby W. D. Emery. A memorial service will be held 5:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, in the chapel of Troutman Funeral Home with the Rev. David Troutman officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
