STEUBEN – Evelyn D. Yeaton, 95, went to be with the Lord May 27, 2008, at Narraguagus Bay Health Care Facility, Milbridge. She was born April 13, 1913, in Steuben, the daughter of the late Van Follett Dyer and Elizabeth (Dinsmore) Dyer. Evelyn was a strong, independent woman, who enjoyed her home and family. She also had a great love for cats. She was a member of Steuben Union Church and got great pleasure from attending services. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lamont; and sisters, Olive Coffin, Julia Pinkham, Emma Pinkham and Margaret Bennett. Evelyn is survived by her son, Clyde Yeaton and his companion, Gelia, of Steuben; daughters, Juanita Bono and husband, Charles, of Missouri, and Yvonne Martin and fiance, Jeff, of Orrington; grandchildren, Travis Yeaton of Steuben, LCDR Frank L. Bono, U.S. Navy, stationed at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Fla., and his wife, Anne; great-grandchildren, Mara Jade and Jaden, also of Florida; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge, with Pastor Owen Beal officiating. Friends are invited for an hour of visitation with the family prior to the service 1-2 p.m. Friday, May 30. Burial will take place at Steuben Village Cemetery.
