OLD TOWN – Emma M. Dow, 93, passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, Aug. 19, 1910; daughter of Emma (Horvat) and Sylvester Fischer. In 1919, she moved to Westfield, N.J. where in 1930, she married, Wallace G. Dow, originally of Argyle. She moved to Maine in 1989, and most recently lived in Old Town. She was predeceased by her husband in 1972. She is survived by a son, Wallace G. Dow Jr. and his wife, Marlys, of The Woodlands, Texas; and a daughter; Elaine G. Dow of Ellsworth; two grandsons, Thomas Dow and his wife, Paula, and their son, Connor, of Lawrence, Kan., Kevin Dow and his wife, Lilith, and their twins, Arielle and Michael of Talmadge, Ohio. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Herbert Dow of Argyle, and his family; her brother-in-law and his wife, Walter and Marion Dow of Milford, and their family; her sister-in-law, Inez and her husband, Linwood Hayden, of Zephryhills, Fla., and her family; one cousin, George Harbt of Westfield, N.J., and his family. A graveside service will be held in Westfield, N.J., at a later date.
