BANGOR – Emma Ellen Wattrich, 91, wife of the late George A. Wattrich, died May 8, 2006, at a Bangor healthcare center. She was born May 11, 1914, in Hampden, a daughter of J. Murray and Eunice A. (Getchell) Blakney. Mrs. Wattrich was a graduate of Bangor High School. She was executive housekeeper at the Main Street Holiday Inn, retiring with 22 years of service. She was a member of Hammond Street Congregational Church. She is survived by a sister, Janie Cousins of Lansing, Mich., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Hassinger and Marie Clemmons; and a brother, Murray Blakney. Emma will be remembered by special friends, Gloria Leonard and Evelyn Leonard. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Finson Road, Bangor, with the Rev. Marion L. Hopkins officiating. Arrangements by Foley Funeral Service.
