ARLINGTON, MASS. – Dorothy Anne (Davis) Farese, 77, died Dec. 29, 2004, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. Mrs. Farese was born in Bangor. She leaves her husband, Ernest; her brother, Donald E. Davis of Guilford; a first cousin, Donald H. Davis; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Early in her career, Mrs. Farese was employed by the Naval Department in Washington, D.C. She later moved to Boston and became a senior secretary at the volunteer department of the Massachusetts General Hospital where, after retiring from her secretarial responsibilities, she served as a volunteer for more than 30 years, assisting in many areas of the hospital and providing weekly organ concerts in the chapel. In addition to her other musical activities, she and an associate performed a formal piano duo concert for the entire Massachusetts General Hospital community. Mrs. Farese was a graduate of Cushing Academy, Lasell Junior College and Husson College. Funeral 9 a.m. Monday, from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street (Rte. 60, adjacent to St. Agnes’ Church) Arlington. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, in the Pleasant Street Congregational Church, 75 Pleasant St., Arlington. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
