DONALD R. DUPLESSIS SR.

LISBON FALLS and GRAND ISLE – Donald “Pit” Duplessis Sr. passed away March 19, 2007, surrounded by friends and family at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. Pit was born June 5, 1939, in Cyr Plantation, to the late Albert and Laura Duplessis of Lille. Pit loved the outdoors including, farming, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and ATVing, where he was actively involved in both clubs before his declining health. Pit had recently made his home in Lisbon Falls, where he lived with his wife of 44 years, Joan; daughter, Tammy; and son-in-law, Jerry Corey. He is survived by one sister, Theresa Gendreau; wife, Joan Duplessis; children; one sister-in-law, Ursula Duplessis; along with several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Claude Duplessis; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Gendreau. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. April 14, at Grand Isle Church. Interment will be later in the spring in Lisbon Falls.
