GREENFIELD – Diana W. Crosby, 64, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, May 16, 2004, at her residence, surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 17, 1940, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Alton and Esther (Smart) White. Diana was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1958. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed cooking and making “popcorn balls” for the children in the neighborhood. Diana loved to travel and work with her husband especially the many trips to Baxter State Park. She had love for the simple things in life such as a picnic and fishing. She was a member of the Cardville United Pentecostal Church. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 44 years, Eugene; son, William Crosby of Greenfield; son, Laurence Crosby and his wife, Resa, of Bradley; son, Robert Crosby and his wife, Lisa, of Greenfield; two brothers, Alton “Jim” White, and Walter White; a special grandson, Jason Crosby; special step-grandson, Taylor Bishop; many nieces, nephews, cousins; special cousins, William Smart and Louise Carroll; special friends, Bud and Dolly Carroll, Gaylen and Janice Madden and family, Mike Norris and dog, Bridget. A graveside service will be conducted 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, with Pastor William Roix officiating.
