MICCO, Fla. – David “Dave” Martin Colson, 76, of Micco, Fla., died Sept. 29, 2004, at the Palms Rehab and Health Care after a prolonged illness. He was born March 15, 1928, the son of Mabel and Ellery Colson in Highland Park, Mich., and moved to Micco in 1991, from Ellsworth. Mr. Colson spent his entire career in the food industry and was the owner of David Colson’s Distributers in Hampden for 20 years. He was a Master Mason and was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and a member of the Anah Temple of the Shrine. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, H. Elizabeth Colson of Micco; daughter, Susan Colson of Belmont, Mass.; son, Charles Colson of Bangor; daughter, Carol Colson of South Portland; daughter, Mary Lou Geel (Tony) of East Machias; sister, Marion Lacasse of York Beach. A memorial service was held at the Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, Fla.
