MANGUM, Okla. and BREWER – David Dunham, 77, passed away Jan. 20, 2005, in Mangum, Okla. He was born July 23, 1927, in Stetson, the son of the late Fred Dunham and Dorothy (Johnson) Dunham. He was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1945, and joined the U.S. Navy in July 1945, retiring from the Navy in 1966. He married the late Inez Roberts in California in 1952. Dave worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Anaheim, Calif., for 11 years before moving to his wife’s home town of Mangum, Okla. Dave was a member of the VFW in Altus, Okla., and was a very active member of the BPOE No. 1169 in Mangum, Okla. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Russ, of California; three sisters, Thelma Dunham, Grace Dunham and Sally Nason, all of Orland; a brother-in-law, Carl Kidder of Gorham; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, George Dunham and Charles Dunham; and two sisters, Mary Kidder and Ruth Jackson. A funeral service was held Jan. 26, 2005, in Mangum, Okla. A graveside military service was performed by a U.S. Navy Honor Guard unit.
