CORNELIA C. ‘NINA’ WHALEN

BRECKVILLE, Ohio, and BROOKSVILLE – Cornelia C. “Nina” Whalen, 78, died Dec. 17, 2007, in Ohio. Nina was a dedicated nurse and volunteer in health care and church activities. She lived to see her beloved Red Sox win the World Series. She is survived by children, William A. Whalen, Christopher C. Whalen, Jeffrey B. Whalen, Elizabeth A. Whalen and Sarah W. Whalen; grandchildren, William, Peter, Matthew, Lily, Sam, Jessica, Altza and Daniel; and brother, Charles Curtis. She has family ties, Myron and Marylou Curtis of Brooksville. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Mount Rest Cemetery, Brooksville, with the Rev. Claudia Smith officiating. Contributions in Nina’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross, Pine Tree Chapter, 33 Mildred Ave., Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
