CLARENCE A. RICHARDSON

EASTON – Clarence Arthur Richardson, 85, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2006, in Presque Isle after a brief illness. He was born March 21, 1921, in Easton, the son of Hemon and Amy (Munce) Richardson. Clarence grew up and lived in Easton most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a mechanic on farm machinery and retired from Maine Potato Growers in 1983. Clarence was a volunteer fireman for the Easton Fire Dept. for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, the Central Aroostook Association for Retarded Citizens, and a charter member of the Easton Wesleyan Church where he served as a board member for many years. His legacy to his family was his faith in God and the camp he built on Little River Cove, East Grand Lake in Weston. Clarence is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rena (Curtis) Richardson of Easton; five sons and their wives, Barry and Gloria, Keith and Esther, all of Easton, Kim and Marilyn of Danvers, Mass. Scott and Penny of Houlton, and Brent and Edie of Braintree, Mass.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Dick Kinney and their children, Kaleigh, Bradley, and Rhylee of Westfield, David R. of Beverly, Mass., Kert and Joanne and their son, Ethan, of Rochester, N.Y., Kelley and Chris Miner of Danvers, Mass., Kendra and J.R. Polsen of Beverly, Mass., Amber and Paul Shomo of Peabody, Mass., Nathan and Jennifer of Pulaski, N.Y., Casey of Lewiston, Chad and fianc?e, Jen King, of Easton, Caleb of Houlton, Heidi, and David J. of Braintree, Mass. Clarence was especially fond of his good friends, Roger and Jackie Condon of Easton. Clarence was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Sue Carol; and his siblings, Hazel Huban and Kay King of Massachusetts, Lillian Cole of Connecticut and Hughie Richardson of North Carolina. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Easton Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Matthew Maxwell and Pastor Vaughn Martin officiating. Interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.
