LEE – Charles William House, 93, died June 16, 2007, at a Lincoln nursing home. Charles was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Lee, the son of Thomas and Elnora (Bunker) House. He served his country during World War II. Charles lifetime work was dedicated to logging and farming. He was a loving brother, husband, father and friend. He was known for the twinkle in his eye and his ability to playfully tease. Charles is survived by a sister, Norma Shorey; seven children, Thomas and his wife, Dianna, Matthew and his wife, Thora, John, Lydia, Lee and his wife, Connie, Ellen and her husband, Steven, and Arthur; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Jessie (Farnsworth) House; a brother, Norman; two sisters, Alice Howell and Eleanor Bowers; and by a daughter-in-law, Pam House. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. There will then be a procession to Wood-lawn Cemetery, Lee, where a graveside service will be held with the Rev.
