CHARLES DAVID GOGGIN JR.

HOUSTON – Charles David Goggin Jr. passed away April 30, 2008, in Houston. He was born Jan. 10, 1930, in Bangor, to Julia O’Loughlin and Charles D. Goggin Sr. Dave was a graduate of John Baptist High School and Husson College, Bangor. He served in the U.S. Army in 194th Engineer Combat Battalion during the Korean War. In 1949, he began a 38-year career with Gulf Oil Corp. Dave and his wife, Carolyn, were avid square and round dancers in the Houston area. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carolyn F. Goggin; four sons and their wives, Michael and Dana Goggin, David and Debra Goggin, Peter and Vicky Goggin, and Timothy and Patricia Goggin; brother, J. R. Goggin and wife, Mary; sister, Mary E. Goggin; niece, Janet Goggin; nephew, Jeff Goggin; cousin, Carrie Ann O’Brien; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
