MONTICELLO and BANGOR Carol A. Carter, wife of the late Leroy E. Carter, died March 29, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Monticello, the daughter of Fred C. and Dorothy (Jewell) Good. Carol was a graduate of Ricker Classical Institute, Class of 1941. She was a member of Monticello Community Church and was active in the women’s group. Carol worked on the family farm for more than 40 years and was very proud of being able to pick more than 100 barrels of potatoes on a good day. She moved to Pittsfield for 10 years, but returned to the County after retirement. She was an excellent homemaker, wife and mother. The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful caring and supportive people at the Assisted Living and Acadia units at Westgate Manor, Bangor. Carol is survived by two daughters, Margo Condon and her husband, Greg, of Levant and Megan Willard and her husband, Donald, of Raymond; one grandson, Holden Willard; one brother, Cedric Good of Monticello; a special sister-in-law, Ruth Shorey of Bangor; special friend, Loraine Cheney; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy; and her sister, Ardice Pontillo. Friends may call noon until time of service 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev.
