CARL O. ‘SONNY’ DALL JR.

LUBEC – Carl O. “Sonny” Dall Jr., 80, died Jan. 11, 2006, at a Lubec nursing home. He was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Lubec, the son of Carl O. Sr. and Jesse (Cook) Dall. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an armed guard on merchant ships in convoy. On his return to Lubec he completed his senior year and graduated from Lubec High School. He retired from the American Can Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid reader. He was a 50 year member of the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 37 AF & AM in Lubec, Scottish Rites Valley of Bangor and Portland, a Noble of Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor and a member of the American Legion Stuart-Green Post No. 65 in Lubec. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Tom Bill; and a sister, Georgeanna Babcock. He is survived by a sister, Karen and her husband, Clifton Scoville; nephews, Robert Babcock, Timothy and Todd Scoville; nieces, Dianne Wright, Kristen Monson, and Dunna and her husband, Joe Calder; and very special friends, Louise and Willie Corey and their family, especially Wanda who faithfully visited him. Services will be announced in the spring. Donations in his memory may be made to the Oceanview Nursing Home Activity Fund, 2 South St., Lubec, ME 04652. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
