Chapter Maine Korean War Veterans BURTON-GOODE-SARGENT would like to express their thanks to the many people who have generously helped us reach our goals to build the Maine Korean War Memorial and establish a Perpetual Care Fund at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, so that future generations will have an opportunity to see the sacrifices made during one of the darkest periods of our history during the Korean War where more than 236,000 United Nations Troops gave their lives, including 36,000 Americans.
