MILLINOCKET – Betty J. O’Hara, 70, died unexpectedly Friday, June 3, 2005, in Millinocket,. She was born Aug. 14, 2005, in Oakfield, the daughter of Olin and Edna (Grant) Collier. She was the wife of the late Richard O’Hara. Betty worked as a bookkeeper at the former O.S. Gonya in Millinocket. She also worked as a teller and bookkeeper at both Merrill Bank and Northeast Bank. Betty was an avid New England sports fan and a passionate soap opera buff. She had a keen talent for numbers and was an immaculate housekeeper. She was predeceased by a brother, Olin Collier Jr.; a sister, Phyllis (Collier) Giachetti; a special brother-in-law, Leighton Shields; and a special niece, Deborah McMannus. Betty leaves two sisters-in-law, Betty Shields and Helen Collier; and many special nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Friends may call 10 a.m.-12 Monday, June 5, 2005 at R.L.
