BREWER – Beth E. Boynton, 87, died Dec. 30, 2005, at her home following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Warren Eldridge and Elizabeth Fogg Eldridge. She grew up in Bucksport and graduated from Bucksport High School. Mrs. Boynton graduated from Newark, N.J. State Teachers College and taught in the Bangor school system for 34 years. Mrs. Boynton was a member of the retired teachers association. She was a member of the North Brewer-Eddington United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and a member of the Untied Methodist Women. She was also a member for 25 years of the Riverside Grange and a member of the Veazie Senior Citizens. Surviving are her husband, Jackson of Brewer; three children, Lynn B. Wirta and her husband, Sonny, of Seattle, Wash., Merrill Boynton and his wife, Dottie, of Bradley, Donna Boyle and her husband, William, of Brewer; three grandchildren, Adam Boynton, Bryce Boynton and Kim Boyle. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves, pastor of the North Brewer Eddington United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery, Eddington. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the North Brewer Eddington United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 31 Main Rd., Eddington. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Reception Rooms, 55 South Main St., Brewer, following the service.
