AURORE MARIE (CORBIN) GODIN

CARIBOU – Aurore Marie (Corbin) Godin, 85 years young, wife of the late Alphy Godin, passed away July 1, 2008, at a Bristol, Conn., hospital, with many of her children beside her. She was born Jan. 21, 1923, in Caribou, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Louise (St. Pierre) Corbin. For many years Aurore and Alphy resided in Caribou, where Alphy passed away. Aurore later relocated to West Hartford, Conn., where she lived for 11 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. To Aurore, her family was everything; her children were her world. She will always be missed and loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia Beals of Connecticut, Patrick and Goscelyn Godin of Connecticut, Leola Grondin of Connecticut, Gerald and Carolanne Godin of Connecticut, Roger and Clemence Godin of Florida, Joanne and Lewis Brissette of Connecticut, Alphie and Rita Godin of Connecticut, Nelson and Kathy Godin of Connecticut, Ann Marie Pooler of Maine, Rita and Michael Clevette of Florida, John and Josephine Godin of New York, David Godin of Connecticut, Raymond Godin of Connecticut, Angela and Ronald Gallagher of Maine and Judy Godin of Connecticut; two sisters, Ida Budreau and Jean Laplante, both of Florida. She will also be remembered by her 32 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, her many brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphy Godin; parents, Joseph and Mary Louise (St. Pierre) Corbin; two sons, Paul and Joseph Godin; three daughters, Viola Godin, Jean (Godin) Moreau and Theresa (Godin) Legere; and four brothers, Arthur, William, Clifford and Leo Corbin. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev.
